Dr. Ronan Grimes is an Associate Professor at the Bernal Institute, University of Limerick. His research focuses on fluid mechanics, heat transfer, microfluidics, and electronics cooling. He holds a B.Eng. (1997) and PhD (2001) from UL, and received an IRCSET Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2003. With over €0.7M in research funding, he leads projects on microfan development for thermal management and collaborates internationally, including under the EU EMERGE program. His work addresses sustainable energy solutions, thermal optimization, and microscale technologies.
