Professor Tapan Sarker is a faculty member in the School of Business at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), specializing in Finance. He holds a PhD from the Australian National University (ANU), an MABusComm from Keio University, and a BSc from Chittagong University. His research focuses on sustainable development, financial systems, environmental economics, and blockchain technology governance. He is fluent in Bengali (accredited translator), Hindi, and Japanese.
Professor Sarker’s recent research explores intersections between finance and sustainability, including climate change mitigation strategies, renewable energy financing, and the role of governance in emerging technologies like the metaverse. His work spans global case studies, analyzing economic and environmental trade-offs in regions such as Australia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
