Dr. Tanvi S. Sharma is Associate Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Boston Children's Hospital, Director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program, and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. She specializes in infections affecting immunocompromised patients including transplant recipients and children with HIV.
Her research examines metabolic complications related to antiretroviral medications in pediatric HIV patients and infectious complications in transplant recipients. Recent publications focus on vaccine responses in transplant recipients, antifungal therapy transitions, infection risks in organ transplantation, and infectious morbidity in HIV-exposed infants.
As fellowship program director, Dr. Sharma is committed to medical education and developing strong foundations for trainees. She maintains clinical expertise in managing infections in vulnerable pediatric populations.
