Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisationمعرفی
Tanveer Adyel is a Senior Lecturer and ARC DECRA Fellow at RMIT University, Australia. His research focuses on the fate and consequences of plastics in aquatic and sediment systems, particularly their impact on biogeochemical processes like carbon cycling in coastal wetlands. He explores how microplastics influence soil microbial activity, ecosystem resilience, and climate interactions.
His work spans interdisciplinary areas including environmental toxicology, bioremediation technologies, and policy frameworks for plastic management. Key projects include studying microplastic degradation in high-altitude ecosystems and developing sensors for water quality monitoring.
Adyel has received the ARC DECRA Fellowship, recognizing his contributions to understanding plastic pollution’s ecological and climate implications. His research bridges fundamental science and applied solutions, addressing global challenges such as climate action and sustainable waste management.
