Tanja Krmpot

Tanja Krmpot serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology in Agriculture within the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Banja Luka. She was elected to her current academic position on January 26, 2023, and maintains an active research profile in plant genetics and breeding.

Her research interests focus on plant genetics with particular emphasis on fruit tree cultivation, molecular characterization of plants, and conservation of genetic resources. She specializes in the genetic analysis and breeding of various fruit species including sweet cherries, pears, hops, and other horticultural plants native to the Bosnia and Herzegovina region.
