Tanel Alumäe is a Tenured Associate Professor of Speech Processing and Head of the Laboratory of Language Technology at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech). He holds a PhD in Information and Communication Technology from TalTech (2006) and has conducted research at institutions like LIMSI/CNRS, Aalto University, and Raytheon BBN Technologies. His research focuses on speech processing, speaker and language recognition, and low-resource language technologies.
