Tandy Jane Haughey is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Sport and Faculty of Life and Health Sciences at Ulster University. She contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, community outreach, and consultancy, with a focus on sports coaching and development in Northern Ireland.
- B.A. Honours in Sport, Exercise and Leisure (Ulster University, 1994)

- MSc in Sport, Exercise and Leisure (Ulster University, 1996)
Her research spans Mental Health Psychology, Coaching, and Physical Activity, with applications to UN Sustainable Development Goals. Recent work includes scoping reviews on women in sport and studies on mindfulness mechanisms in athletes.
Key collaborations include partnerships with Sport Northern Ireland, scUK, and the Youth Sport Trust, focusing on coach development and high-performance coaching frameworks.
Scientific awards:

She mentors through the Athena Swan Mentorship Programme (FAME) and develops continuing professional development programs for coaches.
