Tan Gee Paw

Dr. Tan Gee Paw is an Adjunct Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and College of Design and Engineering, National University of Singapore. He served as Chairman of Singapore’s PUB (National Water Agency) from 2001 to 2017 and currently chairs Changi Airport Group. He is also a Special Advisor to PUB’s Chairman, a member of the Centre for Liveable Cities Panel of Distinguished Advisors, and a Director of Surbana Jurong Private Limited.

Dr. Tan holds a First Class Honours Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the University of Malaya (1967) and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Singapore (1971). He has been conferred honorary doctorates from the University of Westminster (1993), Sheffield University (1995), and Nanyang Technological University (2013).

His research interests span public policy, environmental engineering, water management, and urban infrastructure development. His career includes roles as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of the Environment, Advisor on Rail Transformation, and Principal of Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
