Tamra Stambaugh is a Professor of Education at Whitworth University, joining in 2022. She holds a Ph.D. from the College of William and Mary. Her expertise focuses on gifted education, talent development, and equitable practices for underrepresented populations. She has authored/co-authored multiple books and edited volumes addressing curriculum design, rural education, and low-income student support.
Her research emphasizes curriculum differentiation for advanced learners, with a focus on closing equity gaps in gifted education. She has been recognized with awards including the 2022 NAGC Distinguished Service Award and the 2019 Exemplary Curriculum Award.
Her work spans publications on adaptive technology for gifted learners, culturally responsive talent development programs, and policy frameworks for serving underserved gifted populations.
