Tamera Klingbyll is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Lipscomb University, where she has served since 1990. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lipscomb (with minors in Chemistry and Bible) and a Master of Science in Plant Pathology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education, focusing on curriculum and instruction.
- Teaches courses: Nature Study, Foundations of Biology, and LUMS 2003 Power of Science
- Supervises biology teaching major candidates
Her research interests emphasize integrating innovative pedagogical approaches into biology education for informed citizenship. She actively merges new learning methodologies with scientific content, particularly in curriculum design. Outside academia, she enjoys outdoor activities and studying natural systems through a theological lens.
Current academic projects include doctoral work on curriculum innovation and maintaining a strong focus on practical science education for undergraduates.
