Dr. Tameca Beckett is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the School of Information at the University of South Florida, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. She holds an Ed.D. from Delaware State University, an M.L.S. from San Jose State University, and a B.S. from the University of Maine at Augusta. Her research focuses on data-driven solutions, appreciative inquiry, and bridging gaps in information literacy through innovative models.
Dr. Beckett has been recognized with the American Library Association's 2014 Emerging Leader Award and the Rodel Foundation iEducate Delaware Award. She teaches courses such as LIS 3353 (IT Concepts), LIS 4204 (Information Behaviors), and COP 2030 (Programming with Python). Her professional experience spans roles as a public library director, data engineering fellow, and academic librarian.
