Tamas Vonyo is an Associate Professor of Economic History in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University, Italy. He holds a PhD (2010) and MPhil (2007) from the University of Oxford. His academic roles include CEPR Research Fellow, Elected Trustee of the European Historical Economics Society, and Principal Investigator of the ERC Horizon 2020 project 'Spoils of WAR.'

Research focuses on economic growth dynamics, wartime economic impacts, and the legacies of empires.
