Tamara Tasker

Dr. Tamara Tasker serves as Associate Professor in Graduate Psychology at Pacific University and concurrently as Sport Psychologist for Pacific University Athletics. She maintains dual professional credentials as a licensed psychologist in Oregon and Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) through both the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA).

Her educational foundation includes a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Colgate University followed by Master's and Doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Pacific University. This clinical background directly informs her applied sport psychology work.

Dr. Tasker's research and practice centers on sport and performance psychology with specialized focus on college student athletes and diversity variables in athletics. She implements mindfulness-based performance enhancement through her certified MSPE instruction, addressing mental resilience, focus optimization, and inclusive psychological support systems. Her clinical approach bridges evidence-based psychological interventions with athletic performance demands, particularly emphasizing how diversity factors influence mental health outcomes in competitive sports environments.
