Tamara Riley is a PhD Candidate and Research Associate at the Australian National University (ANU), affiliated with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health team within the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health. She collaborates with researchers at ANU and the University of Edinburgh on a PhD project examining the One Health framework (interconnections between animal, human, and environmental health) in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Tamara graduated as a Veterinarian from the University of Sydney, completed a Diploma of Government through the Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, and holds a Masters of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology (ANU) and a Professional Certificate of Indigenous Research (University of Melbourne).
Her research integrates epidemiological methods with Indigenous health perspectives to address complex public health challenges. Tamara is also a member of Wildlife Health Australia’s Management Committee, contributing to national wildlife health governance and initiatives.
