Tamara Kudaibergenova

Tamara Kudaibergenova holds a dual academic role as a Visiting Professor and Vice Chair of the Local Ethics Commission at the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (Almaty, Kazakhstan). She also serves as a Postdoctorate Researcher at the I. Ararbaev Kyrgyz State University (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan). Her work focuses on advancing bioethics and research ethics frameworks across Central Asia, particularly through institutional capacity building and culturally sensitive ethical practices.

Education and Training:

Research Interests:
Her work bridges cultural anthropology and bioethics, emphasizing:

• Development of ethics committees in medical universities
• Culturally appropriate informed consent methodologies
• Integration of indigenous knowledge into bioethical frameworks
• Educational technology for medical ethics training
• Ethical challenges in end-of-life care and organ donation
