Dr. Tamara Andersen serves as Assistant Professor at Alliant International University's California School of Education, leveraging over 20 years of K-12 and higher education experience to prepare future educators through research-based instruction and curriculum development.
Her academic credentials include a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration with specialized certificates in Special Education, Elementary Education, Reading Instruction, Structured English Immersion, and Early Childhood education, developed through inner-city school roles in Phoenix as Special Educator, Lead Teacher, and Administrator.
Research focuses on Special Education practices, Co-Teaching methodologies, and advancing Women in Education, evidenced by scholarship contributions including implementation of Mild/Moderate Support Needs Standards, Clinical Practice course redevelopment, and ISTE Standards integration across Teacher Education programs.
