Talitha L. LeFlouria is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at the University of Texas at Austin and holds the prestigious Mastin Gentry White Professorship in Southern History. She earned her Ph.D. in US History from Howard University and has previously served as Assistant Professor at Florida Atlantic University and Lisa Smith Discovery Associate Professor at the University of Virginia. Her scholarly work focuses on African American women's history, mass incarceration, and labor exploitation in the post-Civil War South.
