Talal Abdulla Al-Emadi serves as a Professor of Oil and Gas Law at Qatar University and founding Director of Qatar University Press—the first university press in the region. He represents Qatar at the United Nations through the National Committee on Climate Change and participated in signing/ratifying the Paris Agreement in France.
His academic background includes:

Research focuses on legal frameworks for Qatar's energy sector, particularly joint venture agreements in gas industries, investment law, and climate policy intersections. He established Qatar's first oil and gas law course and built Qatar University Press using Oxford University Press models. Mentors students while serving on climate committees, emphasizing law's role in creating 'good laws to serve humans, animals, and climate.'
