Tala Alakhras

Tala Alakhras is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Pharmacy, Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, leading the Junior Research Group under Dr. Marcel Köhn. Her research focuses on the physiological and oncogenic roles of Cyclin L protein, particularly its disordered RS-domains. She holds a pharmacy degree from AlBaath University (Syria) and a master’s in Pharmaceutical and Industrial Biotechnology from Martin Luther University.

Her work is affiliated with the Charles Tanford Protein Center, emphasizing protein-centric research. Key research areas include molecular mechanisms of cancer progression linked to disordered proteins and translational applications in pharmaceutical biotechnology.
