Takako Kondo is a Lecturer at the Institute for Asian and African Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin. Born in 1966 in Niigata, Japan, she trained as an English teacher at Nihon University (Tokyo) in 1993 before teaching Japanese in Australia (1994) and later settling in Berlin (since 1996). She has taught Japanese at various institutions, including the Japan Center since 2001.
