Taiya Fabre is a Professor of Chemistry at Houston Christian University's College of Science and Engineering, where she also serves as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Health Professions Program Faculty Liaison. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from Louisiana State University and a BS in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana.
Her research focuses on organic chemistry, particularly the synthesis and characterization of fullerene derivatives. She has mentored undergraduate researchers through the Robert A. Welch Foundation Departmental Grant and is actively involved in university governance, having chaired the Faculty Assembly (2010-2012) and the Research and Development Committee, while maintaining membership in the American Chemical Society and Iota Sigma Pi National Honor Society.
