معرفی
Taewon (Tay) Kim is an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Kinesiology at Pennsylvania State University. His research investigates neural mechanisms of motor skill learning and memory consolidation using behavioral techniques and non-invasive brain stimulation, with applications in neurorehabilitation for unilateral impairments. He is affiliated with the Huck Center for Movement Science and Technology (C-MOST) and Huck Institutes of Life Sciences.
Education:
- Postdoctoral Research Associate (2021-2023) in Rehabilitation Neuroscience, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO
- Postdoctoral Research Associate (2020-2021) in Stroke in Neurology, Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, NC
- Ph.D. in Motor Neuroscience, Texas A&M University (2019)
- M.S. in Motor Neuroscience, Texas A&M University (2015)
Research Focus: Dr. Kim's work emphasizes behavioral and neurophysiological processes underlying motor memory consolidation. His translational research aims to develop enhanced rehabilitative interventions for patients recovering from unilateral impairments, leveraging neuroplasticity principles through specialized techniques like transcranial magnetic stimulation.
Affiliations: Active member of the Huck Center for Movement Science and Technology (C-MOST) and Huck Institutes of Life Sciences research communities.
