Tad M. Mabry

Dr. Tad M. Mabry is a distinguished Physician Scientist in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota. With over two decades of clinical and academic experience since earning his MD in 2000, he has established himself as a leader in hip and knee replacement surgery, particularly in complex revision cases and management of periprosthetic joint infections.

His research interests span primary and revision joint replacement, periprosthetic fracture management, musculoskeletal infections, and surgical quality improvement. Dr. Mabry has published extensively in high-impact orthopedic journals, with 68 publications spanning from 2004 to 2025, demonstrating consistent scholarly productivity throughout his career. His recent work focuses on innovative solutions for challenging cases including dual-mobility bearings for unstable hip replacements, management of fungal periprosthetic joint infections, and quality improvement initiatives during the pandemic.
