T. Darin Matthews

Dr. T. Darin Matthews is a Professor of Psychology at The Citadel, where he has served since 1994. He teaches undergraduate courses in general psychology, behavioral neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and graduate courses in human growth and development. He previously served as the Undergraduate Program Coordinator for Psychology from 1998-2020 and has chaired university committees such as the Research Committee and IRB committee.

His research focuses on memory mechanisms, intelligence testing, stress-performance relationships, and pedagogical techniques. He has published on cueing effects in memory, problem-solving methodologies, and cortisol-level impacts of stress.
