Audrey E. Parrish

Audrey E. Parrish is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at The Citadel. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Psychology (Cognitive Sciences) from Georgia State University and a B.S. in Biology from Winthrop University.

Her research focuses on developmental and comparative approaches to cognitive psychology, including perceptual and decisional biases, metacognition, planning, and prospective memory. She leads a National Science Foundation-funded study on metacognitive processes in preschoolers and collaborates with Charleston-based community partners like early childhood education centers and museums/zoos.

Teaching and Mentorship: Dr. Parrish teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology and mentors students in research. She also leads a Study Abroad program to the Peruvian Amazon rainforest.
