معرفی
T. Brian Cavitt is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Lipscomb University's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Missions from Abilene Christian University (1998) and a Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi (2002). Prior to Lipscomb, he taught at Abilene Christian University for 13 years, earning tenure and the Undergraduate Research Mentor of the Year award (2014). His research focuses on surface and coatings chemistry, including clay-polymer composites, biofilm resistance, and UV-curable materials. Cavitt has served on the Board of Directors for RadTech International, North America, and as co-editor-in-chief of The RadTech Report. He also held a visiting professorship at Yangtze University, China.
His research trends emphasize predictive modeling of coatings, surface energy analysis for antimicrobial applications, and photopolymerization mechanisms. Over 20 years, his work has explored biofilm inhibition via engineered surfaces and advanced photoinitiator systems. Cavitt’s contributions span both academic and industrial collaboration, particularly in energy-curable technologies.
