Sławomir Wybraniec

Prof. Sławomir Wybraniec is a faculty member at the Department of Chemical Technology and Environmental Analytics (C-1), Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Tadeusz Kościuszko Cracow University of Technology. His research focuses on the analysis of betalains, natural compounds, and their antioxidant/chemopreventive properties, with applications as food colorants and studies on pigment stability.

Research Interests: Chromatographic methods for betalain separation, betalain extraction techniques, mass spectrometry in pigment analysis, NMR for structural determination, and food chemistry applications. Publication Trends: Recent articles highlight betalain chemistry, antioxidant mechanisms, and applications in food preservation, cancer research, and analytical method development using chromatography and mass spectrometry.

Grants & Projects: Led projects on structural studies of betalain pigments (2002–2005) and their chemical transformations (2007–2010), supported by Polish and EU funding. Completed internships at Technische Universität Braunschweig (Germany), Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (Israel), and RIVM (Netherlands).
