Sławomir Sobieraj

Sławomir Sobieraj is a Professor at the University of Warsaw, affiliated with the Institute of Linguistics and Literary Studies within the Faculty of Humanities. He holds a PhD and specializes in literary studies, focusing on Polish literature, poetry, and cultural analysis of the 20th and 21st centuries. His research interests include modernity discourses in European literature, avant-garde movements, regional literature (e.g., Mazury and Lublin), and literary criticism.

He leads the research project Discourses of modernity in European literature and literary studies of the 20th and 21st centuries and is a member of the Literature and Law - interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary relations team. His work integrates interdisciplinary approaches, blending literary analysis with cultural and historical contexts.

Sobieraj has published 87 works, with a focus on Polish literary history, poetry, and modernist themes. His contributions to academic teams highlight his leadership in literature-related research initiatives.
