Sławomir Boncel

Prof. Sławomir Boncel is a faculty member at the Silesian University of Technology, specializing in nanomaterials and applied engineering. He received the Silesian Science Award in 2024 for his research contributions. His colleague, Prof. Grzegorz Wojnar, was honored with the Special Award of the Mayor of Katowice for community-focused scientific leadership.

Research Focus

Prof. Boncel's work centers on nanocarbons (nanotubes, graphene, quantum dots) with applications in:

• Advanced heat exchange and thermal storage systems
• Superlubricity technology development
