Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sıddık BAYSAL is a full-time faculty member at Ahi Evran University's Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Department of Basic Islamic Sciences (Tafsir Sub-department), where he has served since 2018. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University (2016-2018) and worked as a teacher at the Ministry of National Education for 21 years (1995-2016). Born in 1972 in Kaman, Kırşehir, he completed his theological education entirely at Ankara University, earning a Bachelor's in Theology (1995), Master's in Tafsir (2006), and PhD in Tafsir (2016).
Research Focus: His scholarship centers on Quranic exegesis (Tafsir) with interdisciplinary dimensions, exploring epistemological foundations, cultural-anthropological approaches, classical methodologies (notably Ibn Juzayy and Abu'l-Barakat al-Nasafi), and intersections with Islamic jurisprudence. His work emphasizes Quranic semantics, stylistic analysis, and contextual interpretation of revelations.
