SİBEL DUMAN

Prof. Dr. Sibel Duman is a Professor of Chemistry at Bingöl University's Faculty of Science and Literature. She previously held positions as an Assistant Professor (2009-2017) and Associate Professor (2017-present) at Bingöl University and Ortadoğu Technical University. Her research focuses on catalytic hydrogen storage systems, particularly using metal nanoparticles (e.g., Ru, Cu, Ni, Pd) for ammonia and dimethylamine borane dehydrogenation. She has supervised multiple master’s theses on nanoparticle synthesis and catalytic applications.

Education: BSc, MSc, and PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Fırat University (1996-2008). Prior to academia, she served as a chemistry teacher (2000-2009).

Research interests include nanomaterials synthesis, coordination chemistry, and green catalytic processes. Over 30 peer-reviewed articles in journals like International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, and active participation in international conferences. Editor for journals including International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.

Grants include BAP-funded projects on nanoparticle-catalyzed dehydrogenation (2012-2017) and ongoing research on polymer-supported metal nanoparticles. Advised four master’s students on hydrogen storage catalysts.
