Søren Munch Lindhard is an Associate Professor and Head of Research Group at the Department of the Built Environment within the Faculty of Engineering and Science at Aalborg University. His work focuses on construction management, lean processes, and sustainable practices. He leads projects addressing waste management, worker wellbeing, and circular economy principles in construction.
His research emphasizes improving productivity through better project management and risk mitigation, while integrating environmental considerations such as resource efficiency and circularity. Lindhard has contributed to over 60 publications since 2011, including peer-reviewed articles on musculoskeletal disorders in construction workers and exoskeleton adoption. He actively participates in editorial peer review for journals like the Journal of Construction Engineering and Management.
Notable projects include optimizing waste systems through behavioral modeling (2025–2027) and investigating Kuwaiti construction workers' health reporting practices. Lindhard also supervises PhD students and collaborates with industry partners to advance sustainable building practices.
