Søren Birkeland

Søren Birkeland is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, affiliated with the Department of Regional Health Research and the Forensic Mental Health Research Unit Middelfart under IRS - Mental Health Services in the Region of Southern Denmark. His research focuses on Health Law, Medical Ethics, Health Psychology, and Patient Safety, with significant contributions to mental health nursing and clinical decision-making.

His recent work explores the use of patient complaints in quality improvement, medication error analysis, and reducing coercive practices in psychiatry.
