Sören Krömer is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Hamburg's Faculty of Humanities, affiliated with the Cluster of Excellence ‘Understanding Written Artefacts’ (UWA). His work focuses on the textual history of ancient legal texts, particularly the bilingual legal phrasebook ki-ulutin-bi-še | ana ittīšu. He is based in Hamburg, contributing to research in manuscript cultures and legal history.
His research interests include manuscript studies, legal history, digital humanities, and the preservation of written cultural heritage. He specializes in analyzing bilingual legal texts and their historical contexts.
Krömer leads the project Textual History of the Bilingual Legal Phrasebook (2023–2025) as Project Lead RFH04. He has no listed awards or advisees at this time.
