Sylvan Butera Rich is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Education Program at Antioch University. She holds a Master of Arts in Education from the University of California, Los Angeles with an emphasis in urban education and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Sylvie possesses a multiple subject credential and has extensive experience teaching third, fourth, and fifth grades, including a year as a Resource Specialist in Special Education. She began her career as a Teach for America Corps member in East Los Angeles.
- Research Interests: Mentoring new teachers, applying educational theory to practice, urban education, and graduate-level pedagogy.
