Professor Switgard Feuerstein holds the Chair of the Audit Committee at Heidelberg University's Alfred Weber Institute. She specializes in International Economic Relations and Industrial Economics, with research focusing on EU enlargement, monetary policy, and oligopoly dynamics. Her academic journey includes a PhD (1991) and habilitation (1998) from Heidelberg University, followed by roles as acting professor at the University of Essen and professorships at the University of Erfurt and Linz. She has held prestigious fellowships, including the Marie Curie Fellowship at the University of Nottingham.
Education: Studied Mathematics and Economics at universities in Göttingen, Warsaw, Heidelberg, and Singapore. Earned a Mathematics diploma (1985), economics doctorate (1991), and habilitation (1998) at Heidelberg University.
