Sven Völker

Prof. Sven Völker is a Professor of Experiment and Strategy in Graphic Design at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. His career spans academic roles, creative practice, and cultural projects. He studied at the University of Art in Bremen and holds an MA from Middlesex University, London.

Research Interests focus on blending graphic design with mathematical visualization, modular typographic systems, and cross-disciplinary applications of design in art, literature, and urban spaces. His work explores the interplay of color, form, and narrative structures.

Notable Projects include the award-winning children's book A Million Dots (2019), which merges mathematical concepts with visual storytelling, and stage designs for operatic adaptations like The Trumpet of the Swan. His studio creates large-scale art installations and corporate identities for clients such as Suzuki Motor Corporation.
