Sven Degroeve is an Associate Professor in Machine Learning methods for biomedical data analysis at the Department of Biomolecular Medicine (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Ghent University) and a staff scientist at the VIB-UGent Center for Medical Biotechnology in Ghent, Belgium. With over 20 years of experience, he applies machine learning to natural language processing, genomics, and proteomics.
