Yvan Saeys is a Professor of Machine Learning at Ghent University and a Principal Investigator in Systems Immunology at VIB (Flanders Institute for Biotechnology). He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from Ghent University and VIB, with postdoctoral research at the University of the Basque Country and Université Claude Bernard. His work bridges machine learning and biomedical data analysis, particularly in single-cell transcriptomics and cytometry.
