Svein Tveit

Svein Tveit serves as a Lecturer at the Research Section for Chemistry Education within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo. His academic appointment focuses on chemistry education research and teacher training programs.

His research spans chemical safety protocols, green chemistry implementation in educational settings, student learning outcomes from laboratory work, and integration of scientific instrumentation into school curricula. Key contributions include developing pedagogical frameworks for practical chemistry education and creating safety-focused teaching resources.

Tveit teaches specialized courses for teacher education programs including KJM3050 (Chemistry Education Research and Practice), NAT2000 (Science in Practice), and multiple NAT4000-series courses covering chemical reactions, radiation, carbon compounds, climate science, and ecological systems for grades 8-13.
