Kristian Sørnes

Kristian Sørnes is a Senior Engineer and Research Fellow at the Department of Chemistry, University of Oslo, within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. His academic work focuses on organic synthesis, catalysis, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Materials, Energy, and Nanotechnology (MENA) from the University of Oslo (2015-2019)
• Master of Science in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry) from the University of Oslo (2019-2021)

Research Contributions:

• 2024: Investigated glyceraldehyde metabolism in mouse brains (Journal of Neurochemistry), bridging biochemistry and neurochemistry.
