Svein Barene

Svein Barene is an Associate Professor of Physical Activity and Health at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN), Norway. He holds a PhD in Exercise and Sports from the University of Copenhagen (2014) and has extensive teaching experience spanning 15 years in upper secondary schools and higher education. His roles at INN include former Study Programme Leader for the Public Health Work program and Head of the Public Health Unit. His research focuses on health-promoting physical activity interventions, particularly in workplace and school settings, with notable work examining football and Zumba programs among hospital staff and students.

Education: Bachelor's in Physical Education (INN), Master's in Sports Biology (Norwegian School of Sport Sciences), PhD in Exercise and Sports (University of Copenhagen). Certified as a Soccer Coach and Personal Trainer.
