Suzanne Eckes is the Susan S. Engeleiter Professor of Education Law, Policy, and Practice at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Education, with faculty affiliations at the University of Wisconsin Law School. She holds an MEd from Harvard University and JD/PhD from University of Wisconsin.
Her research examines how civil rights laws impact K-12 public school policies, particularly regarding equity and leadership. She co-authored Legal Rights of School Leaders, Teachers and Students and contributes to national policy discussions through the National Education Policy Center.
