Suzana Miovska Spaseva

Prof. Dr. Suzana Miovska-Spaseva is a Full Professor at the Institute of Pedagogy, Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. She holds a PhD in Pedagogical Sciences (2002) and has served as Head of Postgraduate Studies in Pedagogical Sciences since 2017. Her career spans roles from junior assistant (1995) to her current rank, with international recognition including the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Award (2006/07) and best research paper accolades at international conferences.

Education: Graduated with top grades in Pedagogy (1988) and Italian Studies (1992), followed by MA (1996) and PhD (2002) in Pedagogical Sciences. Completed prestigious leadership programs at the Netherlands School for Educational Management (2011–2013) and University of Ljubljana (2011–2012).

Research focuses on comparative education, history of education, and intercultural pedagogy. She has authored/co-authored 7 monographs and over 60 international publications, lectured globally (USA, Slovenia, Poland, Italy), and led Macedonia’s intercultural education strategy since 2015. Her work emphasizes multicultural school integration, teacher training, and Deweyan pragmatism in Macedonian education systems.

Awards include University prizes for academic excellence, Fulbright and ERASMUS grants, and recognition as an International RWCT Certifier. She teaches courses across all three study cycles, specializing in comparative pedagogy, social work in education, and historical educational theories.
