Susie Lamborn

Susie Lamborn is an Associate Professor in Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's School of Education. She teaches courses in child development, adolescence, and multicultural family relationships. Her research examines adolescent development in family contexts, focusing on ethnic differences, immigrant families, parenting styles, racial/cultural socialization, and academic outcomes.

Lamborn's current research investigates ethnic/racial socialization during adolescence and parental involvement in middle school education. She serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Behavioral Development and reviews for several adolescent research journals.

She earned MA and PhD degrees in Developmental Psychology from the University of Denver and was awarded a teaching fellowship in Tokyo, Japan in 1994.
