Sushma Ramsinghani

Sushma Ramsinghani is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Feik School of Pharmacy, University of the Incarnate Word. With a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Toledo and postdoctoral experience at the University of Kentucky, she specializes in protein post-translational modifications and their implications in cancer therapy.

Research Focus: Her work explores poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation of proteins, chemical syntheses for chemo-potentiating agents, and cell biology techniques. She has secured NIH-funded grants for projects on cancer therapy enhancement and MDMA-mediated neuronal toxicity.

Teaching & Leadership: She leads Medicinal Chemistry courses within the Pharmacotherapeutics series and served as Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (2009–present). Prior affiliations include Hampton University School of Pharmacy (2001–2008).
