Cheryl Horlen

Cheryl Horlen is an Assistant Dean and Chair in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the Feik School of Pharmacy, University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). She joined UIW in 2007 after serving as faculty and preceptor at Campbell University School of Pharmacy, where she contributed to the Primary Care Specialty Residency program.

Her research and clinical interests focus on anticoagulation, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and women’s health, with teaching responsibilities in the Endocrine Pharmacotherapeutics module and Women’s Health Issues elective. She led the transition of the residency program to a 24-month Pharmacotherapy Residency during her tenure as Residency Program Director (2011–2014).

Dr. Horlen is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and actively participates in professional organizations such as the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
