Susanne Roehl

Susanne Roehl is a Research Associate at the Institute for Landscape and Environment (ILU) within Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Sciences, where she has worked since 2005. She also maintains freelance collaborations with environmental planning institutes. Roehl holds a Diploma in Landscape Architecture and Planning from HfWU, specializing in landscape planning with her thesis focusing on grazing systems.

Her research centers on landscape ecology and sustainable land management practices. Key interests include:

• Landscape planning methodologies
• Ecological grazing concepts
• Environmental conservation strategies
• Applied landscape management

She received the Friedrich Naumann Foundation Scholarship during her studies from 2001-2004. Roehl maintains professional collaborations with the Institute for Environmental Planning (IUP) and the Office for Animal and Landscape Ecology.
