Susanne Menzel-Riedl

Prof. Dr. Susanne Menzel-Riedl serves as President of the University of Osnabrück (since 2019), HRK Vice-President for the Higher Education System and Organisation (since December 2023), and Chair of the Lower Saxony State University Conference (since 2022). She is also a W3 Professor of Biology Teaching at the University of Osnabrück since 2011.

Education

• Magistra Artium in Educational Sciences, English, and Biology (minor subject) with the First State Examination for secondary teaching positions (2002)
• Studied at the Universities of Münster, Dakar (Senegal), and College of William and Mary (USA)
• Doctoral degree in Biology Teaching from Georg-August University of Göttingen (2007)
