Susanne Ferber is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto. She joined the faculty in 2002, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008, and to Full Professor in 2014. Her research focuses on the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying perception awareness, utilizing diverse methodologies such as studies of neurological patients (e.g., spatial neglect) and neuroimaging techniques (fMRI, EEG).
- Education: Ph.D. from the University of Osnabrück; Postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Western Ontario.
Research Interests: Dr. Ferber's work explores the neural basis of visual perception, awareness, and cognitive impairments, with applications to conditions like spatial neglect and simultanagnosia. Her lab integrates behavioral experiments, neuroimaging, and patient studies to investigate fundamental principles of perception and action.
